Matt Connors joined Pride of the Diamond this spiring as the Director and Coach of the Pride of the Diamond travel teams, the IronColts. Matt has an extensive background with travel organizations and teams.

Matt also just completed his first season on Tim Neiman's staff at DeSales University after graduating from DeSales in 2009. He finished his playing career at DeSales with a career batting average of .293 and as the all-time leader in being hit by a pitch (32) and total sacrifices (32). Connors is also ranked among the top 20 all-time in games played (155 – 6th), at-bats (475 – 14th), runs scored (109 – 15th), hits (139 – 18th), walks (76 – 4th), stolen bases (65 – T-5th), and assists (384 – 3rd). Connors helped the Bulldogs win one Freedom Conference championship in 2008, batting .333 in the three playoff games with his first career home run during the playoff run.

Matt, who resides in Quakertown, PA, graduated from DeSales in 2009 with an accounting degree. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College and getting certified to be a teacher.

Matt is also currently a scout for the Atlanta Braves.
